DTE-initiated Loopbacks
The
316x DSU/CSU complies with the V.54 standard
for initiating local and remote loopbacks. The local
loopback initiates a DTLB, and the remote loopback
initiates a DCLB.
DTLBs and DCLBs can be initiated by the DTEs
attached to ports 1 through 4 per the V
.54 standard.
Aborting Loopbacks
The
Abort Loopback command stops all loopback tests
or any selected loopback test currently active on the
DSU/CSU.
To abort one or more loopback tests,

Press F2 to select T
est from the top-level menu
screen.

2. From the T
est screen, press F2 to select Lpbk.

From the Loopback screen, press F1 to select
Abort.

4. From the Loopback Abort screen, press the
desired function key to abort All or one specific
loopback test. Use the scroll keys, if necessary

If you select ALL, LLB, PLB, DLB, or RLB, skip
Step 5.
5. From the Abort screen, press the function key that
corresponds to the port for which you want to
about the test. Use the scroll keys, if necessary

When
the abortion is complete, the message
Command Complete appears on the Abort
screen.
NOTE
Be careful when selecting a
specific loopback test to abort. If
you mistakenly choose to abort a
loopback test that is not currently
running, a Command Complete
message will still display and the
loopback that is currently active
will still be running. You can use
the TStat branch of the menu to
view the test status to determine if
the abort was successful.
